He has both taught and served in senior administration in Adventist higher education in Pakistan, England, Thailand and Australia, as well as in his home country, New Zealand. He has written extensively in the area of Adventist History. His previous publications include W.W. About the Topic
Ellen White was early accorded an important though informal leadership role in the developing Seventh-day Adventist Church based on her demonstration of extraordinary charisma, which she recognized as coming from beyond herself. By exploring the power, politics and changes involved in interactions between Mrs. White and various General Conference presidents from 1887-1913, we gain an increased understanding of the numerous leadership conflicts in the church during the 1890s and into the next century and also an appreciation of the dynamics of the interaction of the gift of administration and the charisma of the spirit of prophecy in the church’s formative years.

Adventist Forum is open to the public. All are welcome. For information, contact Art Robertson at robertsa2@earthlink.net or call 471-7150.
