Closed-head injury victim reflects on recovery

It’s been a long and tough road to recovery for Sandra Pena-Edington since she survived a car accident 26 years ago, but she’ll be back in the classroom this fall doing what she loves: teaching children and youth.

Pena-Edington, a Berrien Springs resident and Andrews University graduate, works as a substitute teacher at a number of area schools including Niles, Lakeshore and Berrien RESA and would like to work in more.
