Fairplain Presbyterian Church in Benton Harbor is in need of a pianist / organist.
Job Description
A candidate should demonstrate advanced sight-reading skill in piano playing. Previous experience in organ playing is appreciated, but not required.
She / he should be available regularly on Sunday mornings 8:30am-10:45am throughout the year (12 months) AND on Wednesday evenings from 7:00pm-8:30pm from September through the first week in June for Chancel Choir rehearsals.
Each Sunday morning a keyboard player should be prepared to play a piano or organ prelude and postlude, 3 congregational hymns that vary from week to week, and 3 standard hymns that repeat every Sunday morning.
In addition she / he will accompany the Chancel Choir (Choral Introit and 2 different anthems each Sunday), The Praise Band once a month, Men’s Chorus once a month, and occasional vocal or instrumental soloists.
Monetary compensation: Annual salary range of $4,800 to $5,800 determined by experience and ability, plus two weeks of paid vacation.
