Launch of Wellbeing 2021 Resources

Andrews Homepage: Feature Small | Posted on January 21, 2021

Dear Andrews University family,

I want to extend my warmest greetings and welcome to this new spring 2021 semester to each one of you!

Regardless of where you are when you read this message, please know that you are all in our prayers—for strength, wisdom, compassion, resilience and hope!

It is my great pleasure to share with you that all of our Campus & Student Life teams have come together during this world-changing COVID-19 crisis to develop a connected and synergistic initiative to help provide many different opportunities to help you better care for your Wellbeing during this trying time.

To help achieve that essential goal, we want to share our online Wellbeing resources for spring semester 2021. These resources provide a variety of ongoing opportunities that will help you take action to improve your personal wellbeing in whichever directions you might need. You can find the WELLBEING 2021 website HERE.

As you use these new resources, I invite you to use the hashtag #AUwell to share your own journey and help build up our Andrews University community by sharing pictures, text and experiences on social media.

To highlight one special opportunity during spring semester 2021, I want to introduce our Route to Raise activity. This Route to Raise begins Feb. 1, 2021, and will be in place through April 16. Each one of you can participate in accumulating mileage either by wheelchair, walking, jogging or running. For every mile logged you can choose to donate a dollar, or find a sponsor to donate a dollar, on your behalf. The funds raised in this Route to Raise activity will go directly toward our Andrews University Student Emergency Relief Fund, which assists our Andrews students in need during the pandemic. We’ll share more details in the next two weeks, and we look forward to having as many people participate as possible no matter where you currently live.

Once again, I want to encourage each one of you to take positive actions, however you can, despite the circumstances we currently find ourselves in! I continue to be grateful for all the amazing people on our Student Life team who have come together to help develop these opportunities so that we can make better choices, both individually and together as an Andrews family, in order to inspire and lift up our lives!

We look forward to having you join us in taking advantage of our new spring 2021 Wellbeing resources. If you have any questions, please email us at wellness@andrews.edu.

I want to wish you all much strength, courage and hope in the days ahead!

Warmest blessings,

Dominique Gummelt
