Change Day Aftermath

From the episode webpage: This is the follow-up to the Change Day episode. Do people realize what is awakened in them when they decide to serve and why they enjoy doing something like service more than just sitting in classes all day? Is that spark something that can be activated into something more long-term? How do we move the needle to help people realize what it is that they like about a day to serve—and that it's more than just missing a class or two?

Sept. 16, 2021, was the fifth anniversary of Change Day at Andrews University. It's an event where classes are canceled and students have the opportunity to help with a number of different projects in the community. It's always a great time for the students who show up and show out in service, but what makes it such an enjoyable experience? What changes in our minds when we engage in even just a day of service?
