\n Establishe d in 1946\, the Aeolians of Oakwood University present choral music repert oire from the Baroque era to the 21st century\, becoming an authoritative exponent of Negro spirituals and Work songs. Under the current director\, Jason Max Ferdinand\, who is in his 10th season\, they have collaborated w ith symphony orchestras to present masterpieces from the symphonic choral literature of Brahms\, Mozart\, Schoenburg\, Dvorak\, Hailstork\, Dett and others. They have performed in symphony halls throughout the world with t he likes of world acclaimed soprano Kathleen Battle. In 2012 they visited Moscow\, as part of the Russia-US Bilateral Presidential Commission. Later that year they competed at the 7th World Choir Games earning three gold m edals and overall championship in the Spiritual category. In July 2017\, t hey won the Choir of the World award and The Pavarotti Trophy at the Llang ollen International Musical Festival in Wales\, UK. They have been present ed with Keys to the City of Huntsville and have December 3rd and December 5th named in their honor.

This national event is sponsored b y the American Society for Clinical Laboratory Science and the Department of Medical Laboratory Sciences here at Andrews University. This event brin gs together medical laboratory professionals from the Michiana region to b ring awareness of their contributions to health care. The 5K run/walk is s elf-timed\, and it will begin by the Administration Drive side of the Scie nce Complex (across from the Bookstore)\, taking you throughout our beauti ful campus. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.\, and the run begins promptly at 9 a.m. The first 15 people to register will receive a special gift fro m ASCLS. Registration is $15 until April 6 and $20 after.
