Can I use my insurance?

The AUPT Clinic does not have any contracts with insurance companies or Medicare. We are an out-of-pocket facility, meaning you pay directly for the service yourself.  While we do not accept insurance, you may submit a claim to your insurance provider using the superbill we give you. Click here for tips on how to get reimbursed by your insurance.

Can I still come to the AUPT Clinic if I am a Medicare member?

Yes, but there are restrictions. If you have Medicare or Medicaid, you only qualify for the AUPT Clinic's Fitness Promoting and Injury Prevention (FPIP) services.  This is because the contract you have with your government health plan does not allow you to receive any medical services that are covered by your plan from facilities that are out-of-network.

The AUPT Clinic does not have any contracts with insurance companies, including Medicare and Medicaid, and therefore is considered out-of-network. This means that you can ONLY receive services from our clinic that are not covered by your government health plan. Take our quiz here to find out if you qualify for FPIP services.

What is a superbill?

This is a type of medical receipt that contains information and medical codes that are needed to help you get reimbursed if you choose to do so. You will receive a superbill from us whether or not you choose to seek reimbursement.
