Michigan History Day at The Crayon Box – July 22

On July 22, The Crayon Box Children’s Learning Center will host Michigan History Day, a special celebration focused on learning about our great state, its leaders, and our role in shaping Michigan’s future.

Children will explore Michigan history through hands-on activities, stories, and discussions that help them understand where we’ve come from and how they are part of Michigan’s future. As part of the experience, children will also enjoy Michigan-made foods, giving them a fun and tangible way to connect with our state’s agriculture, businesses, and traditions.

We are honored to recognize Governor Gretchen Whitmer with The Golden Crayon for Leadership Award, celebrating her commitment to Michigan’s families, communities, and future generations. This award symbolizes the importance of leadership and the impact it has on children, education, and our state.

Michigan History Day is a meaningful opportunity for children to celebrate state pride, learn about leadership, and begin to understand their place in Michigan’s story.
