Andrews University Health Club Membership Reimbursement Program

Note: This benefit will be available until the opening of the Andreasen Center for Wellness

As part of its wellness program, Andrews University offers a reimbursement of half of the health club fees of employees who are eligible for its health insurance benefit, up to $500 per benefit plan year.  Reimbursements will only be processed for fees incurred year-to-date in the current and last benefit plan year (retroactive reimbursements will not be made for fees prior to the last benefit plan year).

Please note that reimbursement is a taxable benefit requiring submission of the following documents to the employee benefits office:

  1. Copy of your health club membership, and
  2. Receipt of your membership fee payment

Note: reimbursements will be made only for expenses up to current month in plan year

Payment of qualifying expenses will appear on your pay stub at the earliest possible payroll after receipt of the required documents. Qualifying expenses are club/membership fees of the employee (and eligible family members) up to a family membership rate at one club.

Eligible health clubs are facilities that fit the definition in Wikipedia. Health clubs include, but are not limited to, the following facilities:
