New Student Orientation for International Students

   COVID-19 Updates | Posted on August 12, 2020

Greetings, Andrews University International Students!

I am writing with details about the International Student Orientation session. It is scheduled for Tuesday, August 18, from 9–10 a.m. EDT (Eastern Daylight Time) via Zoom. You can access the meeting at this time with Zoom Meeting ID 532 212 9830 or by clicking on this link: https://andrews.zoom.us/j/5322129830.

If you are planning to study on the Berrien Springs campus in fall 2020, you are required to attend this Zoom session. If you are studying remotely during fall 2020, I also encourage you to join the Zoom session if you can.

We will only have one hour for the orientation, and there is a lot of information to share. Therefore, please log into the session a few minutes before 9 a.m. EDT on August 18 so that we can start the orientation on time. In this orientation we will talk about the following:

  • Immigration guidelines and documents needed from you
  • Activation of the I-20 to obtain a driver’s license and social security number
  • On-campus employment
  • Additional I-20 and advising information

We will leave some time at the end of the orientation session for questions. We will try to answer as many questions as possible in the session, but if we cannot answer all of the questions during the orientation, we will send answers to you shortly after the session. We also plan to record the orientation so that you can view it again, and those in different time zones can view it at a later time.

Thank you for your involvement in the orientation. I am looking forward to seeing you next week!
