Students completing the PTCAS and holding a AU PT department-calculated Science and Core GPA of 3.4 or higher will be considered first.
Priority application deadline is November 15, and our final deadline is March 15. You may submit your application prior to completion of observation hours and coursework. However, everything must be submitted by May 1.

GPA: Applicants must have a minimum Science and Core GPA of 3.40 to be eligible, and a 3.5 GPA to be competitive. GPA scholarships are available for all nine semesters of the DPT program. Personal Interview: Our Admissions Office will invite the most qualified applicants for an interview with a member of the Admissions Committee or their designee on campus or by phone.

PTCAS no longer accepts or submits GRE scores.A minimum Verbal and Quantitative score of 142 each is required, and minimum Writing score of 3.0. Submit scores from the General Test taken less than five years prior to enrollment in the program. Andrews University offers a generous scholarship based on the combined Verbal and Quantitative scores. GRE must be submitted to Andrews University by April 15 of each admissions year. Observation Hours: Students must complete a minimum of 50 observation hours supervised by a licensed physical therapist in at least 3 different settings; at least 10 hours must be in an in-patient acute care or hospital setting.
Recommendations: At least one reference must be from a physical therapist and another from a professor who taught the student. It is recommended that the third be from an employer/supervisor, clergy, a second physical therapist or health care professional.
International Applicant Requirements: Submit an original foreign transcript directly to the PT program. Photo copies of evaluations are not acceptable.
International Language Requirements: Applicants who have been given any part of their education outside the US or Canada or whose first language is not English must demonstrate English proficiency by providing evidence through one of the following methods. Exceptions may be granted by the School of Rehabilitation Sciences on an individual basis. Test must be taken within one year prior to application. TOEFL internet-based test (iBT) is preferred.
Official TOEFL scores must be sent directly to PTCAS from Educational Testing Service (ETS). The PTCAS ETS code is 531.
