Biography:

Dr. Aerts has 30 years of experience in physical therapy as an outpatient physical therapist, private practice owner, university health system executive director of orthopedic services, and adjunct faculty at Andrews University.  He founded the MET brands (MET Seminars, MET Equipment, MET Consulting), and is an international presenter, invited speaker, and lecturer on implementing clinical best rehabilitation in daily practice within a value-based delivery system to obtain optimal outcomes. He is the primary author of Inter-rater Reliability of Sustained Aberrant Movement Patterns as a Clinical Assessment of Muscular Fatigue (published 2016 in The Open Orthopaedics Journal), and he co-authored the textbook Hand-Held Dynamometry: Guidelines for Daily Clinical Practice (2018).  Dr. Aerts is a graduate of the Catholic University of Leuven (1990) and Andrews University (2012).
