2017 Open Enrollment

We are pleased to announce the upcoming 2017 open enrollment program for all benefit-eligible employees. Open enrollment is the employee's annual opportunity to elect and/or make changes to their benefits for the new plan year, effective July 1, 2017. Please review the following open enrollment activities.

OPEN ENROLLMENT PERIOD
April 2–14

PREMIUM DISCOUNT
Information on receiving the full wellness discount on health premiums effective 7/1/17 can be found under the Wellness Program. Requirements are to be achieved prior to open enrollment period (during February and March), thereby allowing employees to see if they have received the wellness discount upon logging in to bswift during open enrollment.

COMPLETING OPEN ENROLLMENT
To make open enrollment changes, you may self-enroll by logging in with your Andrews username and password to the online benefit management system (bswift) at www.andrews.edu/go/mybenefits.

You may review relevant documents under the library or the right hand panel before you begin your enrollment.

  • To begin enrollment, click "Start your Enrollment"
  • Be sure to make a selection on each benefit before proceeding to the next
  • Your wellness discount, if requirements were met in February and March, will be displayed as a credit plan under the health plan selection (at full cost)
  • Once enrollment is complete, review your elections and confirmation statement
  • Be sure to have an electronic record of your elections saved by selecting to email your confirmation statement

Please remember:

  • Flexible Spending Account (FSA) elections do not passively roll into the new benefit year (IRS regs)
  • You must re-enroll in the flex accounts every year
  • FSA changes effective 7/1/17 must be made during open enrollment through bswift

Do you need help?
You may use the step-by-step self-enrollment guide, or should you need direct assistance, a benefits enrollment assistant will be available to help you through the open enrollment process:

  • Enrollment assistants will be available only on April 10 (Administration Building)
  • Appointments must be made by April 3 and are very limited--first come, first served
  • Sign up by calling 269.471.3570
