Want to be a Peer Tutor?

Here are the requirements to become a peer tutor:

Academics:

• Must have taken the course you wish to tutor
• Must have a B+ or higher in the course
• Must have 2 positive Recommendations from Andrews University Faculty/Staff
• Must be in good and regular academic standing
• Must be enrolled as a full-time undergraduate or graduate student

Skills and Availability:

• are interested in helping others
• are comfortable working in a group setting
• can effectively communicate concepts and study strategies to ensure academic success
• are enthusiastic about sharing your knowledge for the subject(s)
• are sensitive to others' difficulties with their coursework
• are comfortable working with people from diverse backgrounds
• can commit to a minimum of 4 hours per week

Although we accept applications from all students interested in tutoring, we hire on a need basis.  Students who apply to tutor subjects that we have no requests for will be placed on a waiting list until we have a need for their services.  If you are interested in becoming a peer group tutor, please click on the link to access our employment application:
