Biography

Wayne currently serves as Professor of Piano and accompanist to the award-winning Aeolians of Oakwood University. He is also a concert pianist, producer, arranger, published artist, and a prolific songwriter who accomplished the feat of composing a song a day for the 2016 calendar year.
He holds bachelor’s degrees in both Music and Computer Science from Oakwood University, an M.Mus.Ed. from Alabama A&M University, and a Doctorate of Musical Arts in Piano Performance & Pedagogy from the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa.
He is married to the former Carmen Byars and they have three children: Nina, Wayne II, and Cameryn.

Will be teaching Piano techniques, songwriting and composition.
