Learning Leaders: Be a Student, Not a Boss

For many teachers, the only interaction they have with the local pastor is at the school board meeting. While important, it does not produce any meaningful relationships. Teachers have a wealth of knowledge about how to lead children and how to present ideas in meaningful ways. With the teacher's permission, sit in on a class occasionally. This will allow you to interact with the students, learn what they are learning, and observe the teaching techniques which you may not have learned in college. By being an observer, a helping hand and a familiar face, you can strengthen relationships with the teachers and the students.
