Michael Kwaku Adom Owusu was born in Naples, Florida. He is the proud son of Drs. Michael and Brenda Owusu, president of the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventist Church and Assistant Professor of Clinical at the University of Miami. He completed his elementary and Middle school education in Tallahassee, Florida, at Adventist Christian Academy and Community Christian School. His love for music grew as he participated in the school band and choir, graduating with honors. His high school education was completed at Miami Union Academy, where he graduated as a salutatorian. In the summer of 2020, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science degree in General Studies at Oakwood University.

During his impactful tenure at Oakwood University, Michael served as the director of the Voices of Triumph Choir (VOT). Under his visionary leadership, the choir experienced remarkable growth, expanding from 17 members to an impressive 75. Michael orchestrated and led performances that took VOT beyond campus, with notable appearances in Atlanta, Northern California, Ohio, and other locations. These experiences not only showcased the choir's musical prowess but also fostered a sense of unity and excellence within the group.

Baptized at the early age of 10, Michael Owusu has dedicated himself to serving the church in various capacities, including Adventist Youth Ministries assistant leader, Jr. Deacon, deacon, Pathfinder Jr. counselor, and praise band/team member.

Currently enrolled in the Masters of Divinity program at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, Michael continues to make significant contributions. As the Worship Pastor for New Life Fellowship, he is actively involved in fostering a vibrant worship community.
Michael's favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 20:13, "Love not sleep, lest you come to poverty; open your eyes and you will have plenty of bread." His profound love for the Lord fuels his greatest desire: to be saved and help others make it into God’s kingdom.
