Alain Coralie, PhD, recently joined the SDA Theological Seminary as an Assistant Professor of Leadership. Prior to joining the faculty, he served as a pastor and Conference departmental director in Mauritius, his homeland. For 16 years, he extended this calling internationally as a missionary, serving in executive roles in Madagascar and East-Central Africa.

Dr. Coralie's academic journey reflects his love of learning and cross-cultural engagement. After earning a BA in Modern Languages from Université de la Réunion and receiving God's call to ministry, he completed an MDiv at Andrews University. Seeking to grow his theological understanding, he achieved a Masters of Theology in Applied Theology from the University of Oxford and a PhD in Theology from the University of Bristol with a dissertation entitled "Understanding Adventist Worship: A Liturgical Theology."

His current research investigates ways of helping Christian leaders flourish spiritually and professionally as they navigate ministry and mission in a fast-changing world.

Married to Caroline with a daughter who is a specialist in Corporate Governance, Dr. Coralie cherishes time with family. He also enjoys photography and music.
