How to Graduate

  • Eligible graduate students must submit a Graduate Application for Graduation Form. This is an online submission.
  • All graduate students applying for graduation/marching in must complete the Graduation/Marching application no later than the date specified in the published Important Dates Calendar.
  • Transcripts for transfer credit must reach the Academic Records Office a minimum of 15 days before graduation/degree conferral.
  • All Incompletes (I) and Deferred Grades (DG) in classes needed to complete degree requirements must be changed to a satisfactory grade in the Academic Records Office a minimum of 15 days before graduation/degree conferral.
  • Students must receive financial clearance from the Student Financial Services Office to participate in graduation ceremonies and to receive a diploma.
  • Students are expected to participate in all of the services unless graduating in absentia.  At the time of application for graduation/marching, students who choose not to march must indicate that they are graduating in absentia. Those who complete all degree requirements and choose to graduate in absentia forfeit their right to participate in a later graduation ceremony.
  • Marching without completion: Master of Divinity students who lack no more than 6 semester credits for degree completion, including practical field work courses, may march without completion. Credits lacking include I's, DG's and unregistered work. To March Without Completion, please fill out this form and submit it to gradrecords@andrews.edu.
  • Purchase Regalia: Graduation regalia is ordered online through the bookstore website. Click here to order your regalia. Regalia is ordered by degree, not major.  Be sure you know your degree.  If you have questions, please contact the bookstore.

 

MINISTRY OPPORTUNITY DAYS

  • Every year, seminarians who graduate in May, August, or December of that calendar year are invited to participate in Ministry Opportunities Days during Spring semester. This event allows unsponsored graduates the opportunity to network and interview with North American Division (NAD) ministerial directors for potential ministry work. 
  • Students seeking to participate in this event should prepare a Resume/CV to submit in advance.
