Miriam Dramstad (BS Animal Science, 2015)

I particularly enjoyed the animal behavior class and the animal ethics class taught at the department, as I have found these two subjects very useful to apply practically.

Having been able to visit pet stores and the zoo to evaluate animal behavior and visit animal shelters, auctions and local barns as part of the training program to mention a few, definitely gave me an advantage being an international student.

The knowledge I have gained at Andrews University, and the professors dedication and attention given to each individual student to success, is something that I am forever grateful for.

Thanks to the Animal Science department and the professors, I was able to achieve my dream of becoming a veterinary surgeon.

Lance Johnston (BS Environmental Design, 2021) shares how the Department of Sustainable Agriculture prepared him for work in the field of landscape design.
“After graduation I began employment as an associate designer at RootBound, a
residential-focused landscape design firm that Professor Garth Woodruff and his wife Lani operate. Many of the skills I learned in classes such as Design Studio and Hardscapes I put to use right away. Hardscape plans, elevation drawings, and construction details which I learned in theory became regular practice."
