Description: Join us for a day of free food, give-aways, networking, trainings, and helpful information for new Graduate students!

Come to the Lobby of Howard Performing Arts Center to check in for Orientation. We'll make certain you receive your name tag, gift bag, and networking group assignment before being seated in the Performance Hall.

We'll kick off Orientation with an interactive session featuring associate provost for Graduate Education, Dr. Alayne Thorpe, Andrews University Graduate Student Assocation (AUGSA) officers, and other current and new graduate students!

This is your opportunity to engage with nearly two dozen graduate programs, campus departments, and community services here to assist you in your Graduate Experience.

Grab a delicious Bon Appetit box lunch, head out to the lawn, and meet your assigned networking group. Each group will be hosted by a current graduate student.

Respect: Title IX Training (HPAC Lobby)

Dean Alyssa Palmer, Title IX chief deputy coordinator, and Patricia Fitting, Title IX investigator, will lead us through a scenario-based training on how to create a culture of relational safety and respect on campus.

Belong: Diversity & Inclusion Training (HPAC Lobby)

Chief diversity officer, Dr. Danielle Pilgrim, associate vice president for Campus Culture & Inclusion, Dr. Steve Yeagley, and professor of Counseling Psychology, Dr. Carole Woolford-Hunt, will host a second hour of activities on how to overcome bias and build a sense of belonging on campus.

Consecration Program and AU Bible Ceremony (HPAC Performance Hall)*

President John Wesley Taylor and provost Christon Arthur will deliver an address and charge to new graduate students interspersed with performances by Andrews student musicians. Our University chaplains will close the day by distributing Andrews Study Bibles and offering a prayer of consecration for the journey ahead.

You will receive an Andrews ID card when you come to campus. Please note that you must be financially cleared for it to be activated. 

You can purchase textbooks and a great selection of supplies and University merchandise at the Bookstore.

Yes, all students are allowed to have a vehicle on campus. To register your vehicle, go to our Vehicles & Parking webpage.
