Biography

Michael R. Cauley has served as a Seventh-day Adventist pastor for seven years. He has been involved in planting a church for four years in Keller, Texas, a suburb of Fort Worth. The object of his planting project is to reach Millennials (those under the age of 30). Michael started Tikva (Hebrew for Hope) with a small group of Christians who wanted to reach other people by living with them the way Jesus did. They have determined that creating gathering places for making disciples requires a commitment to journey into communities and in turn become part of people's everyday lives. He is currently in the process of launching Sent Movement--a mission organization that will work alongside Seventh-day Adventist leaders and congregations who wish to become incarnational within their communities.

Current Research or Professional Activities

Mike defended his doctoral project in March of 2010, titled "A Movement of Authentic Christianity: An Embrace and Integration of Biblical Fundamentals in a Seventh-day Adventist Church Plant Among the Echo Boomer Culture of the 21st Century in Keller, Texas." His degree was conferred in May 2010. Soon after, Mike moved to a new ministry assignment for the Kentucky-Tennessee Conference as pastor of the GracePoint Seventh-day Adventist Church at Franklin, Tennessee. He has also recently accepted the invitation, along with his father, Michael F. Cauley, to co-coordinate the new Missional Church concentration for the Doctor of Ministry program at the Andrews Seminary, beginning in the spring semester of 2011.
