Jordan Field School

Jordan Field school provides students with a variety of opportunities to complete coursework in various areas. For more complete information regarding the program visit www.madabaplains.org/hisban

Costs: $1500 (approximate) tour fee and registration for six credits at standard Andrews tuition rates. This covers tuition, international travel to Jordan and all in-Jordan lodging, food, weekend excursions and instruction. 

Courses: As a multidisciplinary experience, there are a number of courses from which students can choose. The courses listed below are the most common options, however students can arrange to take other courses that they may need with Dr. Hatfield.   • ANTH455 Ethnography - 3 credits
  • ANTH478 Archaeological & Ethnographical Perspectives on the Middle East - 3 credits
  • ANTH496 Supervised Fieldwork - 3 credits
  • GEOG560 Topics - 3 credits (past topics have included: "Historical Geography of the Holy Land" and "the Decapolis")
  • RELG160 Top: Archaeology & Exploration of Bible Lands - 3 credits
  • other courses may be arranged with the tour director
