CEIS Scholarship

The Andrews University College of Education and International Services (CEIS) Scholarship application for the 2025-2026 school year is now available. Students must be enrolled in a College of Education program as of the Fall 2025 semester to qualify. The application is due
March 3, 2025.

Lake Union Education Scholarship

Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists Scholarship for undergraduate study in theology and education. The scholarship is open to members of the Lake Union who demonstrate financial need. Applicants must satisfy the university’s entrance requirements, be recommended by their conference, and be willing to work for at least four years in a church or school that is part of the Lake Union Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. The student remains eligible for the four-year scholarship as long as they maintain a 3.0 GPA. Individual scholarship amounts are up to $7,500 per semester totalling up to $15,000 annually.
Specific scholarship guidelines and eligibility requirements are outlined below. Each applicant must:

  • Satisfy Andrews University admissions requirements.
  • Must have applied to Andrews University as either a theology or teacher education major and be accepted into those programs. The scholarship will be discontinued if the student is not formally accepted in either program (consult Religion or Education department for acceptance requirements for their respective programs). Changing major results in ineligibility for the scholarship. 
  • Submit one (1) letter of recommendation from your high school/homeschool/academy teacher. Letters of recommendations MUST be sent directly by the recommender to the respective academic department by June 15, 2026. Letters for theology majors are to be emailed to religion@andrews.edu and those for education majors should be sent to sedinfo@andrews.edu
  • Must be able to pass a local/state or federal background check to satisfy the requirements for field experience placement.
  • Be willing to be employed in a church or school that is part of the Lake Union Conference  for at least four years upon graduation. 
  • Demonstrate evidence of financial need (ascertained through Student Finance Office).
  • A list of eligible applicants will be sent to each conference for them to rank their nominees.
  • Maintain a GPA of 3.0 and satisfactory professional dispositions and other requirements for good standing in the program in which student is enrolled. Student performance is reviewed each semester by the respective academic department.
  • There are a limited number of scholarships awarded per academic year. All applicants are not guaranteed to receive a scholarship award.
  • The decision of the final list of scholarship recipients will be approved by the Lake Union Scholarship Committee.

The application process for the 2026-2027 academic year ends on May 20, 2026.

MI Future Educator Fellowship

The MI Future Educator Fellowship offers $10,000 scholarship to up to 2,500 future educators every year who are admitted and enrolled in an Educator Preparation Program (EPP) approved by the Michigan Department of Education (MDE).

Michigan Achievement Scholarship

The Michigan Achievement Scholarship is designed to help students pursue their dreams, goals and aspirations in the Mitten State! Graduating high school seniors may be eligible for up to up to $27,500 over five years in financial aid just by filling out the new and simplified FAFSA.

Those who qualify could receive:

Up to $5,500 if they attend a Michigan public university, private college or university or are enrolled in a baccalaureate degree program at a Michigan community college, per year, up to five years
