New Endowed and Non-Endowed Scholarships

Class of 1973 Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Andrews University Class of 1973 established this fund as their 50-year reunion gift. The supported scholarship is awarded to international Seventh-day Adventist students in the U.S. on an F-1 visa who are enrolled in an Andrews University graduate degree program, are in good academic standing and are experiencing financial hardship due to being self-supporting/unsponsored.

Ernesto Y. & Loida S. Medina Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established by Loida Medina in June 2024, this fund supports students enrolled at Andrews Academy whose parents are attending Andrews University on an international student visa. Recipients must demonstrate socioeconomic need and maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher. Recipients must also demonstrate knowledge of Philippine or Asian history and culture, as well as varied interests in music, mission trips and/or service to others.

The Douglas A. Popp Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund for Andrews Academy

Founded in December 2024 by Theresa Popp, the Douglas A. Popp Memorial Endowed Scholarship Fund for Andrews Academy supports scholarships for students of Andrews Academy who demonstrate financial need, have a strong desire to attend Andrews Academy, and show potential for academic achievement, leadership or personal growth.

Wheeker Family Endowed Scholarship Fund

The Wheeker Family Endowed Scholarship Fund, established in 2025 from a bequest, is awarded to meritorious students with a demonstrated financial need.

The Answered Prayer Non-Endowed Scholarship Fund

This fund, established in 2024 by Kevin and Margaret Brown, supports Andrews University students who demonstrate financial need.

The Changemaker Non-Endowed Scholarship Fund

Established in 2024 by Gianluca Bacchiocchi, this scholarship is awarded to worthy and deserving undergraduate students enrolled at Andrews University who have embraced the role of Changemakers on campus and beyond. Recipients will have identified a meaningful challenge affecting fellow students, departments or the surrounding community and will have taken concrete steps toward addressing it.
