While we celebrate our return to full, in-person graduation ceremonies this spring, the COVID-19 pandemic unfortunately continues to present risks in southwestern Michigan and here on the Andrews University campus. As a result, we continue to strongly encourage COVID-19 safety measures where appropriate, including attention to physical distancing and the personal choice to wear a mask whenever you are in extended contact with others in larger groups. If you are feeling ill, you should not attend graduation services in person.
In addition to celebrating the Spring 2022 graduates, we look forward to welcoming the graduates of 2020 and spring 2021 who have indicated their plans to return for full participation in their college's commencement service.
Greeting the President: In the past, graduates would receive a handshake from President Luxton when they cross the platform. As we continue minimal contact and safe distancing practices, a video of suitable gestures to choose from has been prepared. President Luxton will return the gesture you’ve chosen. Have fun with it!
Name Pronunciation: Graduates, is the pronunciation of your name difficult for others at times? If so, you can leave a voicemail for the name reader to learn how to pronounce your name as you would like! Call (269) 471-8099 and follow the instructions.
Graduation Photos: Professional photographers will be present at the commencement services to take both posed and candid photos of each graduate. Pre-order before graduation and save 20% here.
