Reports to and is a Subcommittee of: Distance Learning and Technology Committee

Classroom Technology Coordinator (Don Cole)

Ex-Officio: Associate Dean, Online Higher Education (Janine Lim)

Term: Standing

Purpose: Develop a vision and strategy for classroom technology to support effective instruction. Monitor classroom equipment operation and make recommendations to ensure adequate availability of classroom technology.

Develop standards for classroom teaching equipment

To recommend to Deans Council via DLTC

Develop plans for new classroom teaching equipment for existing, remodeled and new classrooms

To recommend to Deans Council via DLTC

Develop a maintenance and replacement plan for installed classroom teaching equipment

To recommend to Deans Council via DLTC

Maintain an inventory of classroom teaching equipment

To act

Prepare and defend annual requests for funding to meet classroom equipment needs

To recommend to the Dean of the School of Distance Education, Capital Expenditure Committee via DLTC

Create and implement a process for faculty/departments to request classroom teaching equipment

To act

Agenda and Minutes: Agenda and minutes prepared by the School of Distance Education Department of Digital Learning and Instructional Technology.

Frequency and Venue: Meetings are scheduled once quarterly or at the call of the chair.
