Why Chemistry & Biochemistry at Andrews

You’ll study the only Adventist chemistry or biochemistry curriculum approved by the American Chemical Society (ACS).

You will have lots of opportunities to do undergraduate research, which is great for graduate school and employment. Ninety-five percent of our graduates find work or enter graduate professional school upon completion of our program.

We encourage summer research opportunities at major universities like the University of Notre Dame. We also work with you to get summer internships at local industries like Whirlpool Corporation.

Fun Fact: If you’re interested in learning outside the classroom but staying on campus, you’ll be pleased to know that the Berrien County Forensic Lab runs right out of our department.

If you’re headed to medical school, our biochemistry degree won’t disappoint. The degree covers ALL of the material required on the MCAT; no extra classes required.
