Bates has performed in many major halls across the United States and delighted audiences in nearly every continent. The Borealis Wind Quartet was nominated for a Grammy Award in 2006, in the Chamber Music category, has charmed audiences with their style and varied repertoire, which ranges from classics, opera arias, and works for piano and winds.
