Andrews University Chemistry and Biochemistry Seminary Series: "Synthesis of a Non-Peptidic Neurotrophin," with Silas P. Cook, PhD. Cook is an assistant professor in the Department of Chemistry at Indiana University. His research focuses on synthesis of biologically relevant small molecules inspired by complex natural products. His work seeks to uncover new strategies in synthesis, catalysis and molecular pharmacology. His reported work on the topic of this seminar can eventually lead to treatment advances for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimers and Parkinsons.
