Seminar: How to be a Seventh-day Adventist in Today's World
Feb. 26-27, 2010
In a follow up event to Week of Spiritual Emphasis, the Andrews
Ministerial Association will be hosting a program designed to help
bring understanding to what it means to be a Seventh-day Adventist in
light of the world we live in today. The seminar will be dealing with
issues of our heritage and how we relate to it along with Ellen G.
White and how we relate to her writings along with modern day
application. This weekend seminar series is designed for everyone, so
whether you are an Adventist wanting to learn more about our heritage
or someone interested in who Adventists are: this is the seminar for
you.
Our presenter will be Merlin D. Burt, associate professor of Church
history at the Seminary and director of the Center for Adventist
Research and White Estate Branch office at Andrews University. The
seminar will consist of five sessions. A haystack lunch is provided
between the morning and afternoon sessions on Sabbath. There will be
question and answer periods.
Each session takes place in the Physics Amphitheater in Haughey Hall at the Science Complex.
