Graduate conducting student, Monica Pavel presents her recital. Pavel was born in 1984, in Bucuresti, Romania. She started her musical studies at Dinu Lipatti Music Academy, after which together with her family, she moved to the United States in 1997. She completed her bachelor degree in Piano Performance at DePaul University in Chicago, under the instruction of Dr. Eteri Andjaparidze. Currently, Monica is studying choral conducting with Mr Stephen Zork, and piano with Ms Chi Yong Yun. She will complete both masters in the spring of 2011. She will be conducting the following:
