Sphinx Chamber Orchestra

Chamber Orchestra with the Harlem Quartet and Elena Urioste

Derived from the Sphinx Competition for young Black and Latino string players, the Harlem Quartet and the Sphinx Chamber Orchestra are in their third annual tour.  The ensembles perform with the mission to advance diversity in classical music, and engage young and new audiences in the process. Violin soloist Elena Urioste had a debut performance with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra in 2010. Her first performance was at age 13 with the Philadelphia Orchestra.
