The Georgia Guitar Quartet has emerged as an exciting new voice in today's chamber music scene. These four young men from the American South deliver a high-energy blend of breath-taking virtuosity and imaginative programming while taking an adventurous approach to classical music. Audiences at a GGQ concert experience an exciting musical journey through an expansive array of genres, continents and time periods.Their program includes pieces composed and arranged by the guitarists, as well as classical arrangements of pieces including Sonata for Cello and Piano in C major by Sergei Prokofiev, Etude No. 3 by Frederic Chopin. The Howard Center gets a taste of Vince Guaraldi's work once again this season with the Georgia Guitar Quartet's arrangement of the Linus and Lucy theme. The quartet will also perform Weird Fishes/Arpeggi - an arrangement of Radiohead.
