The Department of English is pleased to present the third annual John O.
Waller Lectureship on the Arts at 7 p.m. on Monday, November 1, 2010,
in Garber Auditorium, Chan Shun Hall. This year's speaker is Donette
Francis, an associate professor in the Department of English at
Binghamton University. She has recently published
Fictions of Feminine
Citizenship: Sexuality and the Nation in Contemporary Caribbean
Literature. An Andrews graduate, she received her PhD in American
Studies from New York University. She speaking on the topic: "What's
Left to Imagine: Writing Female Citizenship in the Caribbean
Antiromance."
