Emergency Notification Test

At 2 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, there will be a campus-wide test of several emergency notification systems. The Office of Integrated Marketing & Communication will be testing the following emergency notification systems:

Short Message Service (SMS)--Sends a short text messages directly to your cell phone. Visit www.andrews.edu/go/myems to configure your personal SMS notification preferences. Log in with your Andrews user name and password and click on “Configure SMS Notification Preferences."

Broadcast E-mail--All Andrews University student, staff and faculty e-mail account will automatically receive emergency notifications. E-mail accounts forwarded to an off-site account (i.e., Gmail, Hotmail, etc.) may experience longer delivery times.

Website--An emergency banner will be posted at www.andrews.edu.

Voicemail--All University extensions with an activated voicemail account will receive a voicemail directly to their message box.

Flat-screens--Campus flat-screen monitors will be sent an emergency slide to display in their slide rotations.

This is only a test. No action is necessary on your part unless you've been previously contacted to be part of the response group.
