On Saturday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m., Claudio Gonzalez and Carlos Flores will perform at the Howard Performing Arts Center. Combining the rich flavors of Latin music with classically trained musicians, Gonzalez and Flores will present a faculty recital of music that flows naturally from their roots.

Venezuelan-born Claudio Gonzalez is a violinist with a doctoral degree in orchestral conducting. He is the conductor of the Andrews University Symphony Orchestra. The pianist, Carlos Flores, is a native of Mexico City and he is the chair of the Andrews University Department of Music. Flores has a PhD in music theory with musicology and performance.
