The Andrews University Department of Music present the Andrews University Singers in concert under the direction of Stephen Zork on Saturday, Nov. 12 at 8 p.m. at the Howard Performing Arts Center. 

 

Several choral conducting students will lead the University Singers in pieces such as "O World, I Cannot Hold Thee Close Enough" by Colin Britt, "Lux Aurumque" by Eric Whatacre, "Et in Terra Pax" by Antonio Vivaldi, "Benediction" by Bradley Ellingboe and "Jesus Springing" by Bob Chilcott. The featured graduate conductors are: Cristina Piccardi, Michael Sandvik, Joshua Goines, Marcelo Martins, and Satara Johnson. The concert will include "Kyrie" and "prayer" by Rene Clausen, which was recently performed at the September 11 Memorial Concert. The evening's performances will conclude with "Somebody Oughta Be Praisin Him" by Ken Berg, "Bouree" by Ward Swingle and "Skip To My Lou" by Paul Busselberg, featuring pianists Ilana Cady and Nathan Cogen. Featured soloists are soprano Marguerite Samuel and tenor Andrew Fisher.
