Alexander Technique Workshop
Relaxing from Life's Stresses
Sun, March 11, 2012 @ 12:00 pm - 11:59 pm
Alexander Technique Workshop - Courtney Brown, Alexander Technique specialist from Chicago, IL, will present two workshop sessions on Sunday, March 11, 2012, in the Howard Center Lobby. The Alexander Technique teaches us a way of moving more freely, a way to be more relaxed in the midst of life's stresses. This class is for you if you suffer from backaches, and stiff neck and shoulders. It will help you to address harmful habits that you have built up over your life and will help you to learn how to move more freely. Each session runs for one-and-a-half hours: the first session will begin at 12:00 Noon and the
second session will begin at 1:45 p.m. Wear comfortable clothes. Things to bring with you: a soft tee shirt to support your head, five or six 1/2-inch to 1-inch thick soft cover books and an exercise mat. Each session will have 15 participants. To reserve a spot in the one of the
sessions, email Julia Lindsay at jlindsay@andrews.edu. Participants will be accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis until the classes are full. Non-participants may also attend as an audience member.
