On Wednesday, Mar. 14, 130 students from area middle schools will participate in this year’s event at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University in Berrien Springs, MI. The culminating concert will take place on the same date at 7:00 p.m. at the Howard Performing Arts Center. All are invited to attend this free concert.

This year’s event features two excellent guest conductors who will share their talents and expertise with the participants. Dr. Thomas McCauley is currently the Director of University Bands at the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University in New Jersey where he conducts the Montclair State University Wind Symphony and Symphonic Band. Alan Mitchell is an Assistant Professor of Music at Andrews University. His teaching responsibilities include the Wind Symphony as well as music education courses for the Bachelor of Music and Master of Music in Music Education degrees. Both conductors are in high demand as guest conductors, clinicians, and adjudicators throughout the United States and Canada.
