Andrews International Center for Educational Research (AICER) is holding a panel presentation on Thursday, Apr. 19 at 6:30 p.m. in Bell Hall Room 013. This presentation, entitled "Navigating Post-Colonial Pathways within Diverse Cultural Contexts of Teaching and Learning," will be comprised of autobiographical narratives from a cross-cultural selection of participants: Samuel Adamou (Cameroon), Dr. Andrea Baldwin (Jamaica), Dr. Larry Burton (USA), Josephine Katenga (Malawi), Dr. Faith-Ann McGarrell (Guyana), Pretoria Gittens-St.Juste (Guyana). Each participant will provide an overview of colonialism and post-colonialism from a literal to a theoretical perspective within the context of education, economics, religion, politics, language and environment. The theoretical perspectives shared will reveal each author's struggles with and journeys through post-colonial landscapes.
