Violin virtuoso Rachel Barton Pine will join the SMSO for a thought provoking and moving musical commemoration of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II, featuring Copland’sFanfare for the Common Man, Beethoven’s Concerto in D, and Shostakovich’s Ninth Symphony.
