Perseid Meteor Shower and Stargazing

• For your viewing comfort, bring chairs and blankets. Nighttime temperatures may be cooler than you think, and you’ll appreciate having the extra insulation.
• The observatory will also be open for stargazing. Saturn is best viewed before 11 pm. Uranus and Neptune will be visible later in the night.
• Come for part or all of the night.  
• Everyone is welcome.
• Meteors should be visible throughout the night and are expected to be at their highest frequency after 2 am.
• You may see up to sixty meteors per hour at the peak.
• If weather doesn’t permit, cancellation will be announced via twitter.com/auastrowatch.
