Andrews University Department of Music professors Carla Trynchuk and Chi Yong Yun will perform together in an evening of violin and piano pieces on Sunday, February 14, at 4 p.m. in the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University. Admission is free; tickets are not required.

The program provides a bit lighter fare than usual for Valentine’s Day, including Beethoven’s “Spring Sonata for Violin & Piano” and a variety of shorter pieces including “Berceuse” and “Country Dance” by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius.

Trynchuk has performed as a soloist with orchestras all over the world. A graduate of the Juilliard School, Trynchuk is director of the string program at Andrews University. Joining her on piano is the accomplished Chi Yong Yun, director of piano studies and assistant professor of music at Andrews University.

This concert is part of the Second Sunday concert series sponsored by WAUS 90.7 FM, an all-classical music station based in the Howard Performing Arts Center.
