First-Ever Staff Institute, January 5, 2017
Staff members invited to RSVP now
As the holidays draw closer the Offices of the Provost and Human Resources invite you to save the date for the first-ever Staff Institute planned just for you on Thursday, Jan. 5, 2017, from 8–10:30 a.m. in Newbold Auditorium, Buller Hall. You may RSVP online
This will be an inspirational way for us to start the new semester together. Loren Hamel, CEO of Lakeland Health, member of our University Board of Trustees and alumnus of Andrews University, has been invited to present “Bring Your Heart to Work.” This has been a successful plan at Lakeland to inspire and engage employees in providing customer care, and Dr. Hamel will translate these practical principles for our campus. He is known as a lively and engaging presenter, and cares deeply about the people of Andrews University. Please bring your smartphone with you to this interactive presentation.
Whether you are administrative staff, academic staff or hourly support staff, we all touch the lives of our students, and the lives of fellow employees. So it’s appropriate we encourage each other to bring our hearts to work, in the life-changing work of Adventist education. We will start the morning with a light breakfast and a brief worship by campus colleagues, before we have our main presentation. Hourly employees will be paid for the time spent at this event.
We are pleased to take this initial step in establishing a Staff Institute, and thank you in advance for attending. Thank you for all the ways you already “Bring Your Heart to Work.”
