Edward Sutherland, Educator

Edward A. Sutherland was an administrator and faculty member at Battle Creek College (historical “grandparent” of Andrews University). Sutherland worked closely with John Harvey Kellogg as an educational reformer and was the driving force in moving the institution to Berrien Springs. Ronald Knott is director of Andrews University Press, housed in Sutherland House (the oldest campus building in existence). Knott will provide an overview of Sutherland’s unique contribution to this town and to Christian education philosophy.
