The Andrews University Department of Music and WAUS FM present the Andrews University Singers and Chorale in “Love Is in the Air” under the direction of Stephen Zork. Secure your Valentine’s date for 8:00 p.m. February 10 at the Howard Performing Arts Center on the campus of Andrews University where you will experience a wide array of songs centered on the themes of love, romance, compassion, and belonging.

The program will feature romantic classics like Jerome Kern’s “All the Things You Are” arranged by Ward Swingle, Hoagy Carmichael’s “Skylark” arranged by John Rutter, Dolly Parton’s “Light of a Clear Blue Morning” arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, the Kings Singers arrangements of Lennon & McCartney’s “Can’t Buy Me Love” and “Yesterday,” and Dan Forrest’s endearing setting of “Good Night, Dear Heart.”

Placed in this bouquet of choral music will be songs of caring and commitment such as “Invocation to Compassion” arranged by Craig Hella Johnson, “Set Me as a Seal Upon Your Heart” by Richard Nance, and “For Everyone Born, A Place at the Table” arranged by Tom Trenney. The centerpiece of the concert will be Eric Whitacre’s charming collection of “Five Hebrew Love Songs”.
