A growing vision for SJ-Lincoln senior center

The St. Joseph-Lincoln Township Senior Center is proving too popular for its size, its leaders say.

And demographic trends suggest it’s going to be even more popular.

With those facts in mind, the center’s board, staff and clients since June have been planning ways to meet current and future needs in the former school at 3271 Lincoln Ave., Executive Director Cindy McLaughlin said. They’ve been guided by architecture students at Andrews University, who compiled the vision into a rendering of added parking, a fitness trail and a gymnasium annex.
