State gives thumbs up on progress at BH Schools

Benton Harbor Area Schools officials are doing a great job of keeping everyone informed about the progress being made on the partnership agreement it has with the Michigan Department of Education.

That’s what MDE Deputy Superintendent Venessa Keesler said Monday after the partnership agreement meeting, which came nine months into the three-year agreement.

“The official checkpoint is 18 months,” she said. “‘We just looked at very early data today, and it was positive. I think the district should be excited about the direction they’re going and keep up the momentum.”
