Holy Lands Tour to Israel and Jordan

Campus Announcements | Posted on January 5, 2018

Hello Colleagues and Friends,

I wanted to tell you about a great travel opportunity this summer to Israel and Jordan, July 2–15, 2018. This year the Madaba Plains Project (MPP), begun by Dr. Siegfried Horn, is celebrating 50 years of archaeological work in Jordan. To celebrate, we are partnering with the History Center in Berrien Springs to create a tour of Israel and Jordan led by Dr. Larry Herr and Dr. Larry Geraty. We will visit places such as Nazareth, Jerusalem, Bethlehem, the Dead Sea, Sea of Galilee, Masada, Megiddo, Ajloun, Jerash, Wadi Rum and Petra. Additionally, we will stop at Tall Hisban where the MPP began for a wonderful celebration. Not only will you experience these sites firsthand, making the Bible come to life, you will also gain insight to their significance from an archaeologist's perspective. For more information or to be included on the mailing list for a tour booklet with full details, contact Kelsey Curnutt at the History Center, curnuttk@gmail.com.
